To celebrate this occasion, Fritz Hansen launches the Egg™ and Swan armchairs with a black coating used for the first time for the frame and in exclusive upholstery fabrics.The Egg™ and Swan™ armchairs in the anniversary collection are equipped with a PVD-coated black frame, which is used for the first time in the furniture industry. Grace – Chestnut, is a brand new colour with a distinctive maroon shimmer, designed exclusively by Sørensen Leather for Fritz Hansen. Each Egg™ and Swan™ armchair in the anniversary collection receives its own anniversary plaque.The Egg™ armchair by Arne Jacobsen is an eternal Danish design masterpiece. Like a sculptor, Jacobsen created the perfect shape of the bowl by experimenting with wire and plaster in his garage. Today, it is recognized worldwide as one of the highlights of Jacobsen's legendary career and a monumental achievement of Scandinavian craftsmanship.
